These Terms govern your use of South Hams Reaction. By creating an account or using the service, you’re agreeing to them. We’ve tried to keep them short and readable — if anything is unclear, please ask at hello@southhamsreaction.co.uk.
Reaction is a community board for the people, clubs, and businesses of South Hams in Devon. It’s operated by South Hams Reaction.
You can use Reaction if you’re aged 16 or over and live in, visit, or have a connection to South Hams. You’re responsible for keeping your account secure — don’t share your sign-in details, and let us know straight away if you think someone else is using your account.
You’re responsible for what you post on Reaction. By posting, you confirm that:
You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it within Reaction to other users for as long as the post exists.
To keep Reaction welcoming, you may not:
If you see someone breaking these rules, please report them using the report button on their profile. Reports are reviewed privately.
If you sign up as a club or business account, you confirm that you’re authorised to act on behalf of that organisation, and that the information you provide about it is accurate.
Reaction sends notifications about friend activity, RSVPs, and event reminders. Push notifications require your device’s permission and can be turned off at any time in your device settings or by deleting the app from your home screen.
We may suspend or remove your account if you break these Terms or if we reasonably believe your account is causing harm to other users. Where possible, we’ll give you a warning first, but we may skip that step for serious breaches.
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data when you do.
Reaction is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it running smoothly, but we can’t guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or perfectly accurate. We’re not responsible for the actions, statements, or content of other users on the service.
You use Reaction at your own risk. If you meet someone through Reaction, normal common sense applies — we don’t verify users’ identities and can’t guarantee anyone’s intentions.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you in connection with the service is limited. We’re not liable for indirect, consequential, or unforeseeable losses. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that can’t legally be excluded — for example, for personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we’ll let you know within the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Reaction after the changes means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
